Despite being part demon, Prometheus didn't really have any interest in being evil, or for that matter, good. He was more instead in the most important thing in his life, which is himself. If he has something to gain from a situation, he will partake. Whether it be considered morally wrong or right.
He's been around a while and knows how the world works, or at least so he thinks. People seek power, others gain power, most abuse power, but in the end, they all lose power. What's the point? Why seek when you will only lose? So Prometheus decided not to even bother with what his ancestors long sought for.
Prometheus does try to avoid killing on his ‘missions’, but does have some taste for blood, but that can't be helped given his ancestry.
Prometheus was abandoned by his real mother and left to die, since she had thought twice about making a deal with a powerful demon, which is unimportant, but did produce the demon an heir which was his plan.
Found by a foster family, Prometheus was raised to be good and reject the voice in his head which demanded chaos and demonic tendencies. To help aid him in negating these voices, he received a small magical amulet that canceled out the voice.
