These rules are to be followed in the Campaign section. It's solely for those who are role playing and such.
1.) The DM's word is law. What the DM says goes. It doesn't matter if it's ridiculous or not.
2.) No cheating. If your dice roll is bad, deal with it. We all have bad rolls at some times.
3.) Be realistic with your expectations. Don't just assume you can succeed at something. For example, unless you know your enemy has a 15 AC and you rolled a 16, you shouldn't assume your attack hit. Word it as: I swing out with my sword at the goblin. (16 to hit, 8 damage if it succeeds.)
4.) Follow the normal site rules.
5.) Please use your character name at the beginning of your post, or before they start talking so we can known who's who.
6.) Keep an eye on grammar and spelling. I understand errors will happen, but it's easier to read if you follow spelling/grammar rules.
7.) Do not post too many things in a row when other characters are present. For example, if 4 characters are having a conversation, 2 of them shouldn't have 8 posts of them talking. Be mindful that everyone has different schedules and to take it slow enough that other people can respond.
8.) If you know your current post may be long but it's something important (like your charisma character trying to talk down a villain before the tanks charge) you may post a placeholder. Do not post a placeholder if you aren't able to type your post right away, and please respect the placeholders of others and give them a chance to respond.
Example placeholder: ((Please wait, I'm typing a response))
9.) Try to include some details in your post. Some of them may be short, but you can also explain things. For example:
"Ha! That's crazy."
Isn't as interesting as:
"Ha!" Kevin scoffed. "That's crazy." He waved a hand dismissively before turning back to the shield he was polishing.
10.) Distinguish your OOC comments some how. Either by putting them in (these babies), or {these}, or posting OOC: Followed by your comments.
Try to avoid using [ ] because it may format your post accidentally.
11.) Most importantly, have fun. We're all here to have a good time, so be a team player but enjoy yourself too.
12.) Do NOT post art for your character description that doesn't belong to you. This is a public forum, posting art that isn't yours is STEALING. You may only post art if: You drew it, you commissioned it OR you got explicit permission from the artist to use it. In the later two cases, make sure you credit the artist!! Any un-credited art WILL be removed. Even if it's yours, make sure to say it is so I don't accidentally take it down.
13.) These rules may be updated as needed. Please check back often.
If you break any of these rules, you will receive two warnings. If it goes farther, you will be blocked from posting on the Campaign Page for a period of time. If it continues, it can lead to blocking, or eventually banning from the site.
